White House Tells World Leaders That They Must Tell Trump Hes Doing Better Than Obama
By Jason Easley on Fri, May 19th, 2017 at 1:30 pm
Foreign leaders are being told that they are to compliment Trump on his Electoral College win and compare him favorably to President Obama as part of the rules for meeting with the President during his first foreign trip.
The New York Times reported:

Trump can only handle one point in a very short conversation, and he needs his ego flattered and a slide show.
Donald Trumps trip isnt an international visit overseas by a president. It is a global babysitting operation to give American a break for its perpetually needy, corrupt, and scandal-plagued toddler.
The White Houses rules for meeting Trump arent diplomatic guidelines for international diplomacy. They are a list you leave on the fridge for the babysitter before you both head out to catch a movie.
The idea that world leaders are expected to lie and praise Trump as better than Obama is jaw-droppingly shallow. We all know that Trump cant handle any criticism, but he is so insecure about not being as good of a president as Obama that it could be viewed as a symptom a deep mental or emotional issue.
Trump will return to the United States thinking his trip was great, and he made lots of new friends, but the reality has never been more clear that Donald Trump isnt just an American problem. He is also a headache for the entire world.

The WH staff can't possibly be so ignorant of how the real world works that they think they can command other world leaders to treat the toddler-in-chief like the baby he is. Can they?
And do the really think the world leaders will flatter him like that? Wow, are they in for a rude awakening.

If he had dementia he wouldn't be responsible for what he says and does, and he clearly knows what he's saying when he says it. It seems as if he can conveniently forget something he recently said, but that's because he lives entirely in the present, especially as it pertains to him and his ego.

The New York Times would never "report" that:
Trump can only handle one point in a very short conversation, and he needs his ego flattered and a slide show.
Donald Trumps trip isnt an international visit overseas by a president. It is a global babysitting operation to give American a break for its perpetually needy, corrupt, and scandal-plagued toddler.
They might run an op-ed by a guest writer who said that, but this is obviously not a news story.
I don't know who politicsusa.com is, but, based on this, they are not a reliable source.

What is this spin you speak of?
mr_lebowski
(33,643 posts)Not that the WH itself has instructed the Leaders to behave in this way.
I get frustrated w/noise like this because our side doesn't have to stretch the damn truth ... the REALITY of provable egregious actions by the Trump regime ... is plenty bad enough.
All we do is undermine ourselves and our message ... if we get caught making shit up.
The original article DOES NOT SAY 'The White House told World Leaders' ... anything.
