Good Grief. Everyday on FB I see different forms of outrage over that stupid show being cancelled. I doubt they'd be that upset if their neighborhood school got shuttered. One of my "friends" shared a petition to send to ABC to cancel the cancellation. I doubt he even watches it.
Pant shitting over a stupid sitcom. I've had many shows I've watched just get cancelled out of the blue with no resolution to storylines. Sure it's disappointing - BUT IT'S A SHOW! You won't die without it. Jesus

(31,818 posts)I'm a Once Upon A Time addict. It's campy, melodramatic, bad cgi - I still love it.
But just resetting the story has eejits losing their doggone minds.
As you said - it's a show.
You don't like it? Read a book.

(2,795 posts)I know it's because they've been told the show was cancelled due to it being "conservative" and "religious" and "bashes libs which makes Hollywood mad". Blah, blah, blah. So it's like the Chik fil A crusade again. Those christians are so persecuted - so much so those damned libs are now cancelling their sitcoms
Could you imagine if Duck Dynasty would have gotten cancelled? All out revolt in the streets.

He started talking about this and that and then he went right into. He said he thinks online petition are stupid but encouraged his listeners to find it and sign it.
I actually watched the show. First episode I saw - eh. Gave it another shot a few weeks later - eh. Middle of the pack in ratings for a reason. Just no spark there. I got the feeling it was basically people remembering Home Improvement more than that actual show. I got the message but watched it purely for comedy. Seemed like a space filler. 2 Broke girls got cancelled too - that show was horrible.

(34,376 posts)cancelled because Tim Allen's a Benedict Donald supporter. He has gone off the deep end lately & has gone full right wing nutjob (see, we can use that word too, lol.) It's all just a liberal Hollywood conspiracy to silence the patridiots. Or something.

(445 posts)This according to yahoo news:
So why was Last Man Standing canceled? ABC has offered no reason, but one may be a now-common TV-business motivation: The show was produced by 20th Century Fox, not ABC itself, at a time when the networks like to own all their series for maximum profits. Another reason may be a scheduling strategy: Because ABC also canceled Dr. Ken, you could also conclude that the network wanted to give its Fridays-at-8 hour a fresh start in the fall, with new programming there. Fresh blood and all that.
And from popculture.com:
When ABC revealed the Fall TV line-up this week, the scheduling definitely matched Dungey's comments. While Friday night was previously reserved for comedies, that's no longer the case. The studio is moving in the direction of its competitors, and placing more action/sci-fi oriented shows in those time slots.
Once Upon a Time, along with Marvel shows The Inhumans and Agents of SHIELD, will occupy Friday nights this TV season.
