Putin "demanded" it of Trump (Trump said he couldn't say "no" because Putin asked him to meet with the Foreign Minister). That had to be a phone call meeting and that was definitely announced, but I don't have the date. I would start there.

Reportedly, Trump said that he couldnt say "no" to Putin's request for meeting with Russians, so it was scheduled for May 9. So in the days between the talk to Putin and the Oval Office meeting, Trump arranged Comey's firing
