U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth joined a group of senators in a call for the Inspector General of the Department of Justice to investigate Attorney General Jeff Sessions involvement in the firing of former FBI Director James Comey.
Duckworth and eight other senators sent a letter to the Inspector General Thursday saying that his role in Comeys firing could be in violation from Sessions recusal from investigations into 2016 campaigns.
Despite this recusal, Attorney General Sessions appears to have been intimately involved with the May 9, 2017 dismissal of Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) Director James Comey, who was in charge of an investigation of the Trump campaign and its ties to Russia, reads the letter. On Monday, May 8, 2017, Attorney General Sessions went to the White House for a meeting with President Trump and Rod Rosenstein, his Deputy Attorney General, in order to discuss the removal of Director
Comey.

Why would Sessions and Rosenstein tell Trump do a "Saturday Night Massacre"?

Which we now know, thanks to The Orange Sphincter, was all about the Russian investigation.

Pence is the one who has the most to gain if Trump is impeached. Pence is obviously the one who suggested that Trump do it.
However Sessions is still guilt of perjury.

(43,045 posts)7. Not only did Sessions meet with Trump and Rosenstein on the matter
he then wrote a letter reaffirming his recommendation to fire Comey
and signed it. That letter is (or was) available online, along with Rosenstein's
letter, and Trump's letter. I saw it the day the firing was announced, but
didn't bookmark it.

I was very upset when the Evil Elf recused himself because I knew it would stop the calls for him to be fired. The media moved on immediately after the recusal and here we are!
