the amount of footprints and the sign arrows were reversed to be a more accurate reflection of the truth.

There's a subtle (perhaps unintended) message there that the 'right' path is the better path when over the decades the 'party before country' thing has become much more of a 'Right' Republican party thing. OTOH, although not perfect of course, the more 'left' Democratic party in general seems to have little or no trouble pushing their truly unethical and/or criminal ones out (like Wiener, Spitzer, etc) of political positions.

It's like if sportscasters obsessively focused on the fact that there's turf on both sides of the line of scrimmage, but won't ever, ever mention that the ball is on the five yard line.
