Why did the MSM spend so much time on old email while they sat on the Steele dossier?

Where is Meredith McIver?

These are honest and real questions we need to ask moving forward.

There needs to be a reckoning for the FACT that citizen journalists are stepping in to do the jobs the MSM just doesn't do. They're worried about how the right will brand them.

It permeates each decision they make. It's also why I haven't watched one fucking program since the coup. The MSM because a de facto arm of Russia, breathlessly repeating (and repeating and repeating) disinformation while they sat on the real thing.

It's also why you shouldn't watch them either. The most important resource you have in this world is your time.

The MSM is chipping away with a nail file at no great speed.

Other than Rachel Maddow, there doesn't appear to be any talking head that has focused attention and cultivated detail in this mother of all news stories.

Until the profit motive is extracted from the so-called "free press", we will continue to be fed a news diet that lacks nourishment.

Any news magazine program that masquerades as veritable news should be FORCED by the FCC to run warning ads continuously through its newscast announcing itself as opinion and not fact.

We deserve to know the difference. Our Republic rather depends on it.

I used to enjoy PBS and NPR. They're better than most, but even they did their part to focus on the email BS (which really is mostly BS), without ever bringing up the Steele dossier. Even without the dossier, there was still other evidence of Russian collusion that never got talked about. For me the Russian connections are completely disqualifying, even beyond the fact that orange asshole is a worthless human being.

Now I listen to my local classical music station.

TV's main mission is to generate add revenue but yes, why such a focus on those damned E-mails while ignoring Trump/Russia? You'd almost think they had some other motive in all this.

There again, maybe they thought just covering Trump as the train wreck he so obviously was would be enough to insure he wasn't elected.

Surprise!

Especially on the TV machine. NYT was guilty as well but some print journalists are doing much better now. I don't think Flynn would be gone or that poor Trumpy would be experiencing "great pressure" without them.
