Now that I got that out of the way, my theory: Yes I know Zucker has to pursue "maximum profits" for the shareholders. Got it. That's his top priority per capitalist principles and (I'm assuming, not a lawyer) the law. However, I've gotten the impression that Zucker regrets the 24/7/365 coverage of Trump that contributed to his election.

CNN, although making some attempts to be objective (with idiots like Lord and that GA congressman on), really seems to be doggedly pursuing all leads into the Trump swamps. Good business, sure. Maybe Zucker personally wants to rectify his horrible mistake ? Yes there is the argument it was good business, but good for the nation ? Nope, hell no.

Could Zucker actually think this way ? Or am I giving him way too much credit ?

it was going downhill fast. I have read articles that say he sees Trump as providing drama along with correspondents and it brings the ratings up big. He said ratings went up more when Trump got angry at him.

So basically he didn't give a shit about the country just winning, same as Trump. I read Zucker is ego driven just like Trump and that he likes him.

I don't know if they still are. I'm starting to think Zucker is truly devoid of any loyalty to the nation. As long as he's comfy and CNN is making big profits, fuck the country. If anyone knows Zucker, hey, chime in here. You can be anonymous here.
