GOP legislators spew so much disinformation and distortion it is not even funny. Yet they get away with all the verbal nonsense on the media. If just seems hosts are willing to let them be ridiculous, absurd, racist etc just to have access. Every day some GOPPER comes up with some new sick verbiage that you could never make up.

In the past they would have been laughed off the public stage and never heard from again. What is most appalling is that people believe the garbage.

And the GOP is one force that pushes that to a very great degree.

It's the reason that instead of actually treating illness, we still have people who look for ways to blame the sufferer, that they deserved their affliction in some way.

It's the reason why a rich person can get an elective operation easier than a poor person who has to wrangle with insurance and money for an operation for something their life depends upon.

It's the reason why we turn the usage of some drugs into a "medical problem that requires counseling and rehab" and the usage of other drugs into a problem that requires a militarized response... especially the drugs that poor minorities use.

It's the reason why our government polices abortion, birth control, and talks about "legitimate rape"... yet these people forget it takes two to do the pregnancy tango.

It's the reason why affluenza and erectile dysfunction will NEVER be two of the conditions that will give you a stamp of "pre-existing condition" or will put you in a "high-risk pool".
