Unruly MAGA Hat-Wearing Passenger Escorted Off Plane.

A United Airlines flight from Shanghai to Newark, New Jersey, made an unscheduled stop at San Francisco International Airport on Sunday due to an unruly passenger, authorities said.

United said the man tried to take another passenger’s seat while boarding in Shanghai. He allegedly refused to move and grew increasingly disruptive.

All passengers had to de-plane at SFO while local law enforcement dealt with the matter.

The man was removed from the plane at SFO before the flight continued on its way to the East Coast. Passengers were delayed more than three hours on the already lengthy flight.

The man was wearing a bright red "Make America Great Again" hat, and fellow passengers greeted him with shouts of "Lock him up!" when he was escorted off the plane.

Already delayed an hour coming out of Shanghai to EWR when an older man in my row with a "'Make America Great Again" hat decides to make a ruckus and delay everybody else. He insists that, because he couldn't get an upgrade, he's entitled to all three seats next to him even though they're assigned to somebody else.

Captain, crew, and airport staff come over. Man threatens that they'll have to drag him off the plane.

He finally relents, but not before berating some female passengers and crew, calling one passenger "Hillary" (lol) and "lesbian".

Everybody was standing, variously mocking him and pleading with him to leave in both Chinese and English. Some people are pretty funny.

They should have dragged him off the plane as he requested. If I'd been on board I would not have wanted to be on the same plane as that nut job, especially on a long flight! I would have insisted that either he be removed or they would have to find another flight for me to take*.

*Of course, since I don't intend to fly with the current way most airlines treat passengers ans with the absurdities required by airport security, I would not have been on that flight to start with.
