(111,094 posts)Even if he refuses to surrender his communication papers and decides to take the Fifth, doesn't he still have to appear in person to respond to the Fifth Amendment requirements?
If he does, the Senators can ask whatever questions they want if they know they are not going to get a response, can they not? This could incriminate even further than answering the questions, perhaps?
