In that case it might be a longer piece then those ones they do remotely. So maybe it didn't fit their plan tonight. But youre right, it could be a way to sneak in Williams and claim he gets great ratings since major news going on. Test the waters.
It was weird to see Rachel spend all that time on it tonight. Was so looking forward to her take on the political news.

It makes perfect sense that ODonnell pretapes a show so he can attend a family event...that's done all the time in television.

If ODonnell was in the studio I'm certain he would have done just as Rachel did and continued live with Manchester coverage.

But it would have seemed incongruous to air something taped before the Manchester event so in goes Williams.

I vote no conspiracy here ~
