Say goodbye to Federally subsidized student loans

if DT gets his way.

Every time I hear people claim that the D's are almost as bad as the R's, I want to scream. On issue after issue, the differences between the two parties are stark.

But the only difference between Hillary and Bernie on college tuition was that Hillary thought public college tuition should be free for family incomes up to $125K, and Bernie thought it should be free for everyone, no matter how wealthy.

And neither of them won.

And look what we got instead.

This small message above tells it all. We need those rolling scrolls at the bottom of newscasts just be devoted to all the HORRIBLE THINGS THE GOP AND THIS IMBECILE AND HIS VP MORON are planning to implement to the public.

because it would help Democrats. And Democrats are "bad for business", i.e. they might increase taxes for the owners of various media corporations. I'm a little unfair there, but it's definitely true for Fox News and increasingly so for MSNBC (see how they want to get rid of their progressive employees / shows) and possibly other channels / news media.

I'm glad that we have strong public-law media outlets in Germany. Some call them propaganda channels, but at least they're not pure right-wing propaganda for the rich because they are not owned by a 0.1%-er.

Most of them despise higher ed and those who take advantage of it and pursue anything higher than a HS degree.

The cited NYTimes article is a very brief overview of the Trump budget.

Here's the bottom line:

QUOTE

The bulk of the savings in Mr. Trump’s budget come from “economic feedback” effects. The administration is projecting that its tax cuts and changes to welfare programs will spur significant economic growth and expand the work force, resulting in $2 trillion more in revenue than would have been generated under current law. The economy would need to grow at least 3 percent per year, a pace most economists say is unrealistic.

END QUOTE

Got that? This is Reagan's "Tinkle Down" on steroids. He's gutting program after program and predicting that cutting the federal budget will spur economic growth, thereby generating a tsunami of tax revenue. Trump and his advisors have said they expect GDP to rise to 3 percent or higher. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

NOTE TO DU: Blockquote tags seem to not be working.

A lot of people will sacrifice spending on themselves to give to charity or to take care of relatives in need. They will wait for movies to be released on DVD, shop resale stores, dine out less or not at all, repair stuff vs replace it, etc.

This is what 'they' wanted. They should be happy. They didn't realize he had two other branches of government to contend with and that those would be dominated by Republicans. It's not my fault they are stupid ignorant dumb fucks who didn't pass their high school civics class.

Now this is what they wanted - I want them to own it. As you stated - neither Clinton nor Sanders would have proposed this. This isn't the fault of Democratic officials or voters in any way, shape or form.

It's their fault - they need to own it.

they've been yelling to defund public ed for 30 years while using those schools sports to attract advertising to pay for it - and students do nothing

students could destroy trump radio by protesting right at their own unis on this issue and many others

And Hillary lost ONLY because of a rigged election. No other reason, a stolen election.
