On Monday, Infowars announced it has been granted press credentials that will allow Washington bureau chief Jerome Corsi — a prominent swiftboater and birther — to attend White House press briefings.

Later that same day, Infowars founder Alex Jones smeared the victims of the attack during the Ariana Grande show in Manchester that killed at least 22 people, describing them as “liberal trendies.”

and British Conservatives are not gun nuts, religious fanatics (with a few exceptions) uneducated, or wilfully ignorant (except most frequently on the issue of climate change), but they're still conservatives and in common with US conservatives they want to privatise as much as possible and turn government services over to for-profit companies while fucking over the poor and middle classes as much as possible. 13. Conservative is a BASIC PERSONALITY TYPE.

Conservatives by PERSONALITY come in different types (social/religious, traditional, economic) and strengths (moderate, strong, hard-core), but they share pretty much the the same characteristics in the UK, in the Central African Republic, in Alabama, in the Knesset, in Denmark. Environment does act on inborn traits, but only to some degree.

And I just said she wasn't in the same class. Yet. But she's already built a following, and people in that position needing to hold it usually firm up support by encouraging mistrust of investigative journalism sources and politicians who conflict with what they're selling.
