The many ways Trump has tried to intervene in the Russia investigation, in one chart

Source: Vox

President Trump canít seem to leave the Russia investigation alone, even though doing so mightíve let the story die down. First he fired FBI Director James Comey, and now heís reportedly trying to quash special counsel Robert Muellerís investigation with an obscure ethics rule; he keeps feeding the story, to his own detriment.

But hereís the thing: Trump might not know how else to get what he wants.

During the campaign, he bragged about his ability to bend people to his will. All it took was a little greasing of the wheels ó with money, power, and a bit of charm.

3. The chart only skims the surface of how far Trump's tentacles have spread in

a deliberate effort to obstruct justice. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) is omitted entirely, and he tried to mislead the investigation and divert public scrutiny off into the weeds chasing a fake story. McConnell and Ryan have also tried to muddy the waters, delaying and slow-walking the investigations. There are many other Republican politicians, rightwing news outlets, pundits and commentators who have engaged in an obviously well coordinated effort to discredit the investigation into Trump's illegal connections with Russia.

Looking at the number of known agencies and top tier government heads that Trump has already tried to influence, it's likely that there are other other agencies and lower level people involved as well. The question is; how many of them has Trump actually convinced to lie for him?
