My fear is that Mueller will prove collusion but won't say so

I think Alan Dershowitz is correct: there are no actual criminal statutes against it, and if Mueller does what Comey SHOULD HAVE done... just announce whether he's found something prosecutable, nothing else, and then keeps his trap shut... well, that's going to be Republican cover, no matter how treasonous.

Keeping my fingers crossed for criminal obstruction of justice, money laundering, witness tampering, etc. Not too optimistic on the collusion front. Somebody give me some hope!

Isn't it a damn shame when a citizen hopes that the man in the White House has committed high crimes and misdemeanors?

1. Until last week Mueller worked for the firm that represents Kushner and Manafort.

so there's that:

"Mueller, a former FBI director, had worked for the past three years in the Washington office of WilmerHale, a prominent law firm whose lawyers represent President Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Trump’s daughter Ivanka and the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. "

4. Yeah White House floated that nonsense last week. So odd that you can't see Trumps bs.

White House tried to disqualify him with Justice Dept. on that basis.

Insinuated he would be soft on Jared.

Uh-huh. That is just as phony as the bs that they fired Comey because he was mean to Comey.

Mueller has a stellar reputation. TrumpCo knows that and they are scared. That's why they smeared him.

Justice didn't fall for that bullshit, as reported in your link. (BTW, sessions recused and had nothing to do with the decision.)

Everything that comes of the Trump White House is a lie.

This is no different.

And he is unlikely to be impeached, crook or not crook. So Mueller may not matter much.

5. This is where I'm at. We are just going to have to ride it out until Jan. 2021.

Hope for better but I expect nothing to change in the Executive branch until 2021 when we have a new POTUS.

3. He doesn't have to announce anything

... and that's the problem.

I believe that Mueller is untouchable but we have a 4-year schedule to maintain. Mueller can take as long as he wants/needs and he can decide to shut it down if nothing is there. (We already know that won't happen.)

At least the Republicans know that they're being watched, every step of the way.

That's something!
