(5,730 posts)our Prez listens (not something for which he is known).
Were he a compassionate, wise statesperson, he would want to gain from the experience and knowledge of others, so that he could do a better job.
I apologize for how he has treated Mexico. It has been embarrassing and painful to see what he has said about and done to our close neighbor and friend. I hope all Mexicans know that most Americans loathe the idea of the wall, even if it were free. It is a reprehensible symbol of what we do NOT want to be. We will eventually have a real leader again, and we will tear it down.

Destroy the social safety nets.
Push the nation into a police state. Suppress the press and free speech.
Suppress voting and neutralize elections.
Sounds like--- wait for it--- RUSSIA!
Yep. That's Trumpy's ultimate goal. He's got a load of Russian agents and sympathizers all around him, telling him how to do it. He's got Putin overseeing all of it. Look at his proposed budget.
And lest we forget: Trumpy also has the entire GOP leadership on his bandwagon. They're all in for turning the US into a Russian model of governance.
Congratulations, Fanboys. You get what you deserve.

(5,730 posts)Thought about it much, until he had to, piecemeal, as he was running for election. As he went along, he said and adopted, or even changed, whatever he thought he needed to say to get the support of whomever his target was at the moment. He basically acknowledged that he hasn't even read this budget. He has no principles or policies beyond winning v. losing, and "getting" money. I say getting, as opposed to making, because he has used those words...getting. I assume getting OPM is easier than making your own money, like the peons do. Remember when he said, "I took a lot of money out of Atlantic City." He took it, as opposed to making it. Semantics, maybe, but I think his language reflects his lack of respect for people who "work" at regular jobs.

(4,192 posts)I hope Donald listens carefully. It's a stinging criticism but actually tells tRump how to escape the hell-hole he's digging for himself.
Kudos to Vicente Fox! He really hit it out of the ballpark with this one.

(99 posts)This speech should be published every newspaper in the country that cares about America. He spoke the truth.
What do you want 45? The praise of 1% of the country for making them even richer or praise from 99% of the country whose lives you made better? This is your battle to lose.
Also, I don't like you.

Also, it might be just me, but I didn't find a single word hard to understand so why the subtitles? One of the things I listen for when judging a non-native speaker's English is how they pronounce the letter 'R.' Fox said it perfectly. Plus, his vocabulary is larger than orange boy's and he understands how to use it.
