2. Well you just said it yourself.

You mentioned the words "thoughtful and articulate." That alone disqualifies you from the GOP nomination these days.

Though I don't agree with him on anything I wouldn't worry he would start World War III.

5. He wasn't radical enough or hate-filled enough

for them. He's plenty right wing, but in a polished, professional politician package. Not exactly what the deplorables were looking for this year.

7. He is dangerous

because he seems moderate etc

Poor Ohio, where the hell did you go wrong? Started with that idiot Reagan

11. He is dangerous. His record on women's issues is execrable.

http://nytlive.nytimes.com/womenintheworld/2016/02/23/ohio-governor-john-kasichs-anti-woman-agenda-continues-with-latest-round-of-defunding/

And that's just one of a bunch of examples I could easily pull up. He's like Pence - just because he's got a more polished veneer, it doesn't mean that he's not wicked.

19. The cities were pure blue (except Cincy)-but rural Ohio is pure red.

My brother, a decorated Vietnam vet, successful small businessman, chief of the volunteer fire department and member of the Chamber of Commerce (of a small town) had to have a run-off when he ran for county commissioner against a 31 year old Reaganite who worked in his fathers hardware store. Why, John had a D after his name and the hardware clerk had an R.

8. The reason is...

That Trump ran as a populist for the working class and the rest of the Republican candidates did not.

10. Don't be fooled. He seems relatively reasonable but he's a right-winger, too.

Granted, he'd be an improvement over Trump, but almost anybody would be. He's ardently anti-choice, and signed a law in Ohio that took funds away from Planned Parenthood and required women seeking abortions to get ultrasounds. He's very anti-union, especially teachers' unions. He supported the Iraq war, opposed same-sex marriage, and has faithfully toed the GOP line as to almost all issues. In a few areas he is less extreme than, say, Ted Cruz, and he's clearly much less daft than Trump. But I wouldn't toot his horn.

Did the Russians interfere with the GOP primary? Pretty doubtful. Trump appealed effectively to some existing, very bad attitudes in this country. Kasich hasn't got much charisma, and that hurt him.

14. I wish Rs would look into whether Russia finagled

their primaries. I thought Russia had also hacked the RNC. Maybe they thought they wouldn't have to intervene.

13. They had to have been doing so

considering Kasich was the only one on the stage who could make any sense, at all, even though most of us disagreed with him.

This is the corporate media chickens coming home to roost. Asshole had the support of the media, who were hanging on every stupid thing he said like it was written on stone and passed down through the ages. Far right media were in total adoration mode. The only real opposition was online since the only way the media mentioned Clinton was in connection with some nonscandal, usually hyped by fake news out of Macedonia backed up by Russian trolls.

The broadcast news will, at some point, claim they were merely misled. If that is the case (unlikely), then they were looking for reasons to be misled. The whole mess was totally corrupted by gullibility and overt hostility to Democrats.

Asshole was Putin's boy, bankrolled by the monumentally corrupt Robert Mercer. There is no way he could have been stopped short of a real and timely exposure of what was really going on.

Donald Trump.

Donald isnt the disease, he's only a symptom.

There are 63 million Americans here just like him.
