I overheard an interesting conversation at a truck stop earlier today!

Wow, I just wonder how these folks are able to have their own thoughts! It went like this verbatim:

Idiot #1: "Trump is showing all Americans how to be POTUS"

Idiot #2: "Yep, no one can hold a candle to his abilities and knows what he does"

Me, walking out the door: What could I say?

relatives. We did NOT talk politics because the last time it got pretty vicious. I told Mr Nay that if either of them started up with the politics, I'd declare, ONCE, that I would leave if the discussion continued and that I was not going to get into it with them under any circumstances. I had cab fare and was entirely ready to excuse myself politely and go home. No more of this shit for me.

It all went well -- but Trumpers are Trumpers, and both these people are authoritarian and one is basically a theocrat. But we managed to have an OK time. They are both pretty dim and incurious, but it didn't kill us since it was only a day and a half.

These guys are lied to by the conservative media machine. If you only watched Hannity and listened to Limbaugh, you'd think this too.

The main task is to stop the unpatriotic lies in the conservative media. Then these drivers will come along for the ride.

And pray to the great trucking god thay those idiots are not parked next to you. I am always worried that one of them is going to take my hood off because they have their heads shoved so far up their butts they can't see their mirrors.

...is because those of us who snickered at lighting farts when we were kids have, as adults, a horrifying vision of what that much shitgas going up at once can do, and thus don't want to 'hold a candle to his abilities' without being safely ensconced in a bomb shelter.
