When the Soviets lost the Cold War they changed their plan from direct conflicts and proxy wars of the 80's to infiltration and a "long game" that sought to destabilize Europe, the U.K., and the United States.
What we're seeing now is what that game did. It put its claws into enough people and utilized hackers and propaganda to install numerous compromised officials into an Administration and got them into office.
What we are hoping for and are starting to see are the organized revelations of pushback from the Intelligence Community, Patriots who spend their lives fighting for this country, that are working to save the US from Soviet attack.
This will make one Hell of a movie, but lucky for us we get to live it. History in the making, Brothers and Sisters. Hope we make it through it.

It's a lot riskier to be opposed to Putin in Russia right now, than to be opposed to Trump in the US.
Just something to keep in mind as the situation(s) progress.

(64,026 posts)and assets to players he trusted to recruit the perfect stooge, unwitting asset, in donald trump, by flattery, overpaying him for real estate, bringing him into their deals, and setting up the kompromat. It was a long game, but putin got all his players on to Trump's game board.
