Journalists may start to see how GOP attacks on media can actually incite violence. That may make journalists more willing to tell the truth and call GOP out on their media lies.

We can hope.

early voting! Don't know what the voting patterns are there. Daughter moved to Bozeman last year. She loves it. And has a Rob Quist bumper sticker. Proud of that girl! She also saw Bernie there last weekend!

In fact, the Repubs in the state house tried to block early by-mail voting in this special election, even though it is cheaper.

So, it might be a good thing.

Many reporters are actually liberals at Fox. K(They should resign and not let themselves be used in a propaganda machine, but that's a different story.)

Look what Trump's constant assault on the Press has garnered him--his first 5 months has just been one hit piece after another.

You don't poke a sleeping bear and not expect that bear to attack.

Not under the thumb of the national Fox News management. A lot of the local Fox teams are more i tune with their local areas than the national broadcasters are.

16. The most important point
Thu May 25, 2017, 10:48 AM
May 2017

THE most important point.

This is a story because it reaches to the halls of Congress. That is, if Giangorte wins he goes to Congress. On an even larger stage, this is a classic propaganda ploy.

To get sympathy, the real aggressor (Gianforte) publishes a statement calling the reporter a dog-whistle name: "aggressive...liberal journalist". Aggressive liberal journalist? With the national spotlight on, the thought they want to convey is "liberal". Just another liberal opposing conservative righteousness. That is where the outrage should be, that he is using the national attention to spread propaganda instead of apologizing or at least accepting responsibility.

These guys are but children and eventually they throw a public tantrum. John Lennon said it best, "One thing you can't hide, is when you're crippled inside".

19. The Missoulian newspaper

rescinded its endorsement of Gianforte. Too little too late, I'm afraid. I voted early and I know a lot of other folks that did too - for Quist. I'm hopeful that the trend of early voting helping Dems comes to pass here in Montana.

When I called the Missoulian newspaper to cancel my subscription and business advertising following their endorsement I told the clerk that their short sighted and dangerous endorsement of this thug could be compared to Comey's re-opening of the Clinton email idiocy a week before the election.

The Missoulian is the largest newspaper in Missoula - an artsy, music loving, hippie college town. Blue at it's heart! Rob Quist and the Mission Mountain Wood Band started here. It has been said that newspaper endorsements are not as important as they used to be, the Missoulian's endorsement nevertheless hurt Rob Quist's chances, sold-out women, damaged our public schools, screwed our public land and resources. This matters.

Thu May 25, 2017, 11:35 AM

a real fight. We KNOW the MSM will not get our side of the issues out there, so our candidates need money to adequately publicize the truth despite a near blackout from official news media.

Unfortunately, the DNC tends not to financially support many (most) candidates across the country, so it is up to us to do so, the way small donations helped Bernie wage a serious campaign--and in the process prove that we don't have to the ourselves too tightly to the interests of deep pocket donors.

In Georgia John Ossoff is 7 points ahead now, and I am certain that the millions of dollars that poured into his campaign from small donors across the country made this possible.
