(54,005 posts)There were multiple witnesses. Just because someone in a competitive job field takes a job at Fox doesn't mean they're fascists. I've read stories in the past about news techies taking the Fox gig just to stay employed while they desperately searched around for a real news outlet to jump to.

He'd just push the partisan side no matter what.
Who's running the show now I wonder?
If Fox news decided to actually report the news instead of inventing it, it would go a long way towards bringing the country back together again.

(51,129 posts)They were mute until after the police had them on record. Gianforte assaulted Ben AND lied about it. That's TWO huge mistakes. Ben is the reporter that outed his Russia connections.

(3,847 posts)They actually have good local news shows. Weird.

(57,438 posts)An example of a local Fox affiliate is DC's WTTG, channel 5. It runs all the Fox television network shows. It has a local news show at 10:00 p.m. It broadcasts over the air on channels 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and soon, 5.4.
Fox News is a cable operation. It is not an over the air operation. It's possible that some shows from Fox News might show up on WTTG on Sunday mornings. I don't know. Someone can look that up.
Fox Broadcasting Company
The Fox Broadcasting Company (often shortened to Fox and stylized as FOX) is an American commercial broadcast television network that is owned by the Fox Entertainment Group subsidiary of 21st Century Fox. The network is headquartered at the 20th Century Fox studio lot on Pico Boulevard in the Century City section of Los Angeles, with additional major offices and production facilities at the Fox Television Center in nearby West Los Angeles and the Fox Broadcasting Center in the Yorkville neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It is the third largest major television network in the world based on total revenues, assets, and international coverage.
Launched on October 9, 1986 as a competitor to the Big Three television networks (ABC, NBC and CBS), Fox went on to become the most successful attempt at a fourth television network. It was the highest-rated broadcast network in the 1849 demographic from 2004 to 2012, and earned the position as the most-watched American television network in total viewership during the 200708 season.
Fox News

The channel broadcasts primarily from studios at 1211 Avenue of the Americas, New York City, New York.
The channel was created by Australian-American media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who hired former Republican Party media consultant and CNBC executive Roger Ailes as its founding CEO.
It launched on October 7, 1996,[2] to 17 million cable subscribers. Fox News grew during the late 1990s and 2000s to become a dominant cable news network in the United States. Rupert Murdoch is the current chairman and acting CEO of Fox News.

(54,005 posts)No way a Texas pol would slam dunk and pummel a nosy reporter. They'd pull on them and gun them down in a drunken stupor. But most of our conservative office holders down here are only cowboys during rodeo season and the occasional high brow fundraiser.
