Thousands cheer Obama today in Berlin

Obama speaks at landmark Berlin Christian convention

Rockstar welcome

Thousands of people cheered when Barack Obama took to the stage in front of the Brandenburg Gate on Thursday. The former US president participated in a public discussion that was part of the Protestant "Kirchentag," or Church Day, in Germany's capital.

1. Carter is a gem to everyone, still teaching Sunday School and getting right out there in the dirt helping people.

2. Bill Clinton, (and Hillary) have a very large 5 star rated charity that helps people and especially children in the hardest hit parts of the world

3. Barack, who is just months out of his presidency but still filling people with hope everywhere he goes.

You know this will burn DT. Obama gets rockstar treatment, while Trumpy gets protests in Brussels. But then, he did receive Saudi love for that massive arms deal. Nothing like paying for affection, aka prostituting America in public.

The whole world is watching this stunning humiliation.

Obama made our country better, and Republicans fought him every step of the way.

Trump is doing his best to destroy America, just so the rich can get richer.

If they do mention it they will say the crowd size was in the hundreds not thousands.
They have their own way of estimating crowd sizes relative to who is speaking.

Thank you Mr President for trying to repair the harm that asshole is doing.

Where's the teleprompter, Fox and Friends? I have no doubt they'll either ignore this completely or have some snarky thing to say. I was watching the award presentation live on CNN on my android while eating lunch in a restaurant and got very emotional. HE received a very warm reception and is always the epitome of class.

Everything Trump touches goes wrong on this trip.

Now his son in law is in trouble.

Getting closer.

The pressure is getting to him now.

That is he blew up today.

I watched that video several times and he was barely in control.
The way he wasc so rude to that women at the end.

I am surprised he did not hit her.

The Germans are celebrating 500 years of Martin Luther and the eventual establishment of Protestantism.

Luther hadn't intended to start a new religion, but that's what happened when the Catholic Church excommunicated him in the early 1500's. It is something that all Protestants are celebrating this year, but especially the followers of Martin Luther. Obama isn't Lutheran, but he is a devout Protestant and he was invited to come to the Kirchentag celebration in Berlin. I believe this was actually being planned even while Obama was still POTUS.

The Germans are happy to let Obama know they appreciate him, it would seem. In direct contrast to their feelings about Cheeto 45.
