Business Insider: Americas share of international tourism has dropped 16% in March, compared to the same month in 2016.
The decline began in October 2016, the month before the presidential election. From October to March, tourism-related traffic has fallen an average of 11% in the US, compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, tourism in the rest of the world has increased 6% year-over-year during the same period.

(14,530 posts)I booked a room for vacation last week. Normally these rooms go for 200+ a night. It was $104, so I booked an extra night than my norm. Looking to fill the vacancies?

(797 posts)Most of my friends who would take occasional weekend trips across the border to Plattsburg or Burlington have stopped doing that and are now going to places in Canada from Kingston to Quebec city.
Most people i talk to think America has gone nuts, dont like the interrogations at the border and believe some American radical seeing out of country plates will think communists are invading.
America? been there done that.
