I go to a hair salon, which is owned/run by a very liberal friend of mine. So we inevitably talk about Agent Orange and all that nonsense.

He wants Agent Orange to last at least until the 2018 election. If he fails too early, Repugs could recover, and we might not be able to get a majority in the house. He thinks prolonged pain will in the end help Democrats regain the upper hand.

Me - I don't know. Part of me wants to see him go down in flames fast, but that is more for personal satisfaction. Strategically, it might be better if he lasts into the election cycle...

What do others think?

2018 will take care of itself. Trump's residual stink on the Republicans will be so overbearing voters won't be able to ignore it.

I am sure KGOP & Koch Bros & for sure Russia would love it if Dems were dumb enough to save 45 from immediate impeachment ..

The REAL issue is:

By 2018 there will not be a recognizable democracy left to save.

The Russia Sanctions from 2014 ...
which are those that Exxon Rosneft & Putin want lifted........
Are set to automatically EXPIRE in March/April 2018

The only way to extend those sanctions is either by Executive Order or by passing Senate Bill 94...
Before March 2018

Either way ... it requires the POTUS to sign / approve....

So... if 45 is still around you can bet your ass those sanctions will expire....
no action required for that to happen

At which point, this little exercise in
how to turn a democratic republic into a full on Autocracy / Trumptopian Nightmare...
Will be so entrenched & so well financed that it will take a revolutionary army/ militant uprising to get him out...


We are beyond party politics and the traditional power struggles that are addressed by elections...

This is a coup that has been years if not decades in the making...
make no mistake about it...
Trump did not bring Russia into our government ...

Russia put Trump into our government --- essentially equal to a "Check" in chess...

By 2018, Russia will be in a position to call
"Check Mate"...

4. Every day that goes by with tRump as President he does damage.

He has damaged the office of President and has undermined our standing around the world. All the good that President Obama did to repair the damage inflicted by Bush, II has been ruined. In ways big and small tRump is destroying the United States. He MUST GO! As quickly as possible.

6. I'm getting screwed from all directions right now....

I'm homeless, in the midst of an SSDI application process, 60, and been unemployed for 8 months. So far, I can get SNAP benefits but I have no place to prepare food so I have to eat stuff that requires no cooking, I sleep in my Toyota and have little to no money for gas. It costs $10 to get a shower at the cheap truck stop and there is no free camping anywhere with forty miles of when I am.

I sure hope the Rs go down hard and it should have already happened. There are so many of us out here in the streets in America that we have become a socio-economic class of our own... and just last last I was a federal employee, an my job disappeared over the winter for good due to funding restrictions. Apparently it's just not all that important to tell folks about their safety when they come to Montana where we have bears in the woods that can kill and eat them... that was my job.

Keep an eye out for the body count when clueless tourists start getting offed by bears... the gov't will decide that we don't need bears, just watch.

7. Well it looks like I've struck a chord here....

I was worried too about two things: (a) how much pain do we have to go through until he is gone, and (b) what if he gets the chance to start a war to distract from all of this.

I have joked in the past that 2016 was the last election we will ever have. He might try to circumvent the electoral process if he sees he will lose the house and the senate.
