His contract is through next week, but he's been gone the last couple of days.
The writing is on the wall. I will be boycotting MSNBC COMPLETELY. Sorry Rachel. I will not give this network my viewership anymore. First Keith, now Lawrence.

(4,167 posts)As much as I like Lawrence, if he was replaced by Joy Reid I would be ok with that

(3,194 posts)I think most would be happy if it was Joy Reid, but Williams is getting Lawrence's slot.
MSNBC doesn't care about protests. Lack is buddy buddy with Williams, and they probably promised him the slot long ago. They're going to do what they want, but so will I.
If Lawrence goes, so does my viewership of anything on their network. If it was in any way justified, I'd accept it. But clearly, they are dumping Lawrence for the benefit of Williams, and nothing else. His ratings are fine, and they have no good reason.

(9,314 posts)But I am with you -- if MSNBC does not renew his contract, bye, bye MSNBC. Trump wants Lawrence O'Donnell fired because he complains too much about him (Trump).

(3,194 posts)NBC has a long standing pattern of DUMPING Liberal Hosts.
Remember Donahue? What about Olbermann? Either of those guys pull an O'Reilly and get accused of harassment?
I assure you, MSNBC is counting on it's liberal viewership remaining loyal to Rachel. God Forbid their ratings for her should suffer.
Perhaps Rachel should move to CNN, before she too is replaced in favor of one of the CEO's buddies.

(130,865 posts)His absence today was clearly explained, he's been on this week, and he himself explained when his contract ends and that he's in talks; resolution will be public by June 5.

Fan pressure has them negotiating with him so lets keep the pressure on. If you have family or friends who like him ask them to contact them as well.
