It's morning in Germany...time for some coffee and a bit of US news

which always revolves around who's been shot, who's been shoved, who's been bullied or "body slammed," who's been name called, who's been threatened, who's been executed, who's been unapologetic for all of the above...

I look forward to post-summer US tourism stats because who overseas would want to visit such an aggressive country?

I'm curious to know how they're covering the fact he practically called for a trade war.

She usually comes with me for part of my annual summer Odyssey, which took us to Southern and Northern California last year as well as our annual stay on Cape Cod.

This year, she will not leave Massachusetts. We arrive in Boston, will drive out to the Cape, and after our annual vacation there is done, instead of coming out west with me for my work there, she will be flying directly back to Germany from Boston.

Can you blame her?

Noisy, difficult to ignore, but more of an irritation that a mortal danger.

That could change, of course, and no one here is forgetting that.

Europeans ALL know we are ashamed to have him as president. They just don't understand how it came to that. They don't consider him a legitimate president any more than France would have considered Marine LePen a legitimate president if she has been awarded the Elysée palace after getting 35% of the vote.
