(18,837 posts)...and those four headlines were there when I went back to the page.
We CAN'T have this happen EVERY DAY while Ryan and McConnell whistle past the graveyard.
And yes, I know THEY are somehow caught up in this too.

(18,837 posts)The question earlier today was "Will Trump throw Jared under the bus to save his own ass?"
Looks like we're about to find out.

(2,522 posts)Or do the Russians seem to be leaking this information?
The Russians had to have known that their contacts were all being monitored, and that all of this would eventually come to light. It looks like they set up the Republican Party for the greatest of all falls.
Also, the article title is highly misleading. It is not a "Trump aide"; Deripaska is a leading Russian oligarch, with close ties to Putin.

(1,192 posts)The Russians want to undermine our democracy -- what better way than to slowly drip, drip, drip this information? They're causing confusion and messing with our psyche. However, this is bringing out the best in us. We shall overcome!

(5,857 posts)its just too damaging to our means and methods. Whoever leaked (if it wasn't the Russians) just confirmed we can break their best encryption between Moscow and the US Embassy -- this is huge.

(94,532 posts)Exclusive: Trump son-in-law had undisclosed contacts with Russian envoy - sources
U.S. President Donald Trumps son-in-law and close adviser, Jared Kushner, had at least three previously undisclosed contacts with the Russian ambassador to the United States during and after the 2016 presidential campaign, seven current and former U.S. officials told Reuters.
Those contacts included two phone calls between April and November last year, two of the sources said. By early this year, Kushner had become a focus of the FBI investigation into whether there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, said two other sources - one current and one former law enforcement official.

(22,669 posts)The other 63 million fools gave us this on a silver platter and need to be slammed for putting traitors in the WH. I don't care what their reasons are for being enthusiastic about traitorous behavior toward our nation, then or now. There's no excuse!
Republicans are the problem with our government. The sooner we can gut them out of the system, the sooner America gets back on its feet.
The Kremlin winning.

Whether Vladimir Putin has something on Donald Trump or somehow has him in his pay hardly matters. If he doesnt, he apparently doesnt need to do since Trump insists on doing more or less exactly what Putin would want of him entirely on his own. Does this sound hyperbolic. Yes, it absolutely does. Im even surprised Im writing it. But look at the evidence before us. A simple statement on a decades old security commitment is the simplest, most pro-forma thing to do. And yet he refuses. Again and again.
Something is very wrong here. But we dont know yet its origins of where its taking us.
