Castro reaffirmed that it was his "impression" that it would be multiple "people" -- not one person -- who would end up in jail. Asked to elaborate, Castro declined.

"I wish I could, but I can't at this time," Castro, a member of the House intelligence committee, said. "My impression is that people will probably be charged, and I think that people will probably go to jail."

which included two attorneys general, a chief of staff, White House counsel, and other government officials and campaign staff. This could be even worse when all the rocks are turned over.

there could be dozens. Kushner, Manafort, Paige, Flynn, Bannon, Priebus, maybe Trump himself eventually; and then add all the other still-unknown possible participants: various money-launderers, mobsters, dodgy lawyers and accountants and assorted Russians; maybe throw in a few members of Congress like Nunes, Ryan and McConnell?

I sure hope it happens.

Trump has been a devious unethical bullshitter all his life. Logically that means he knows how to stay just close enough to the law, who to trust in his inner circle, and how to conceal the major strays.

I don't think much of anything will come of this, not attached to Trump anyway. I hope I'm wrong but I fully expect him to emerge stronger and more vengeful and extreme.

I remember the Watergate hearing from junior high. I watched every day and hated going to split shift afternoons because I'd miss the coverage. There is no such thing as Howard Baker these days, or any legitimate hope that Republicans would turn on Trump minus an incredibly damaging series of videos, and I'm not confident even that would be enough.
