I'm struggling to cope with my horror and outrage. It was this comment that put me over the edge:

"When the train stopped moving, the guy who stabbed them was cursing and he said, 'This is free America, I can do whatever I want."

That and the fact that a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives who assaulted a journalist for doing his job still won his election.
