(51,583 posts)Last night on MSNBC Congressman Engel and a few others said we need to get the GOP in the House to get a democratic bill passed for an independent commission and investigation in addition to special prosecutor Mueller. This is more complete, faster, can't be derailed by the Donald, and the public will be allowed to know what's going on as opposed to the FBI investigation. Engel is trying but he said it's an uphill battle. Therefore, go Google to find a rally in your state by going to #MarchForTruth. This could drag on for years and no one wants that!

(1,007 posts)and the difference between special prosecutor Mueller. People have commented frequently, but I still cannot comprehend. May be why a lot of people have not joined in yet.

(51,583 posts)It is non partisan, demands his tax returns and business dealings, if a crime is committed or if there is collusion it must be prosecuted, as much information will be given to the public as soon as possible, the investigation will be properly resourced and the citizens will be able to trust their government again.

(1,007 posts)but what is the purpose of a house investigative committee, a senate investigative committee, and a special prosecutor? They all seem rather redundant to me....and as we seen with Nunes....able to be sabotaged. Poor Adam Schiff...he has remained on the case like a ankle biter terrier! But that was ridiculous what Nunes did! And furthermore, it was allowed to happen until finally someone placed a complaint to the ethics which made him stand down.
All I can see is that giving someone 2 million towards a campaign (they basically can mooch off that money and spend however they want). Part of that money gets stifled back into their own purse and is why they fight back so bad.

(32,958 posts)republicans in the House of Reps? This assumes all the Dems stick together.
I have problems imagining that in this congress.

(14,167 posts)I don't think there are enough Republicans to flip. They are being seriously blackmailed by Ryan, which makes me think this Russian thing infects the whole Republican Party (duh).
