ICE tears apart a Southern California family

(KGTV) -- A tight-knit family of six torn apart in National City. Now, four kids are left all on their own while their parents sit in a detention cell.

Activist and supporters rallied outside the Otay Mesa Detention Center on Friday.

Front and center was 19-year-old Francisco Duarte.

Duarte says he's suddenly the head of his 'broken' family.

"My little sister, she came screaming to my room and I came out and both my parents were in handcuffs and my father was on top of a Tahoe hands behind his back," he said.

Duarte says undercover federal immigration agents, in unmarked cars, showed up outside their home in National City Tuesday and arrested his parents. ICE denies that claim to 10News.

2. Tearing this family apart is pretty darn evil. I'm older & walked with

Cesar Chavez when the farm workers were being sprayed with insecticide. I participated in protests against the Vietnam war, etc. Now that I am older, and it's harder for me to get out, I donate. I subscribe to the New York Times and Washington Post. And I feel so proud of the youngsters out there who are standing up against this evil.

3. How can this be happening in America?

4. The Trump regime promotes cruelty. For 21 years this family has worked, worshiped, and

paid taxes (unlike Trump) in this country. The children, who are American citizens, have had their parents traumatically taken from them.

6. People are way down on Trumps list of priorities, after his self-interests, alternative facts,

Russia, inciting his minions, being sadistic, etc. The guy has been sadistic and a predator all his life, and at 71 - that's who he is.
