Sheesh - when one speaks of right-wing trolls, seems like he's one of the biggest ones!
I like to refer to him as that-guy-whose-name-rhymes-with-VANITY, because omitting the mention of his name is probably the worst thing that can happen to him.

Maybe he's right that Hannity will be fired.
Or maybe he's trying to add fuel to the Seth Rich CT by saying Hannity is the next martyr for the cause.
Time will tell I guess.

(8,760 posts)I have to say though, I am somewhat in awe of Sleeping Giants, and the others who have led these advertiser boycott campaigns.
They have really been effective.

(9,090 posts)hannity's real power is as a limbaugh asswiper and putting a block head visual to talk radio
at this point even if fox fires him he'll still have his radio show, where he does even more damage.
he and limbaugh and all rw talk hosts and the radio stations need to be mecilessly boycotted and the universities and pro teams that broadcast sports on them need to be protested until the rw radio monopoly reflects it's true demand - about 100 stations in the swamps
without rw radio getting a free speech free ride trump and the gop have no advantage

(7,628 posts)With him and o'reilly gone maybe the deprogramming of america can start. Fox along with the RW commentators like Limbaugh et al are the reason our country is so polarized today. Moderate republicans cant get elected anymore so we have rabbid right wingers in congress blocking everything or trying to pass insane laws .

Contrasting Words
Often we search hard for words to define our opponents. Sometimes we are hesitant to use contrast. Remember that creating a difference helps you. These are powerful words that can create a clear and easily understood contrast. Apply these to the opponent, their record, proposals and their party.

So agree with the huge problem of moderate conservatives being largely locked out of office. Louis Brandeis said that we could have democracy or great wealth in the hands of a few, but we couldn't have both.

(1,278 posts)the 10 PM ET slot is currently occupied by Lawrence O'Donnell, whose contract is up somewhere around 2 weeks or so. Hannity normally takes days off at this time of the year; I believe he has a keyman clause in his contract as well. With Alies gone and dead plus Shine has gone, I wouldn't be surprised for him to walk out of Fox and onto MSNBC with their new right-wing focus.
It seems to be a little too coincidental, doesn't it?

(37,648 posts)It's more likely they put him on leave while they let the situation die down.
But if they fire Hannity, that's BIG. He's their #1 show, isn't he? That would mean a major shift for the network. Maybe Ailes' passing has something to do with it?

Fox News Channel lent support to its best-known anchor Sean Hannity, saying Thursday that the popular host would return to its air next week following a Memorial Day holiday vacation an effort to tamp down speculation that a controversy currently enveloping Hannity could escalate further.
Like the rest of the country, Sean Hannity is taking a vacation for Memorial Day weekend and will be back on Tuesday, the 21st Century Fox-owned network said in a statement. Those who suggest otherwise are going to look foolish.
