I would bet that at least around a third of his nutty followers he got from the deals he made with televangelists & friends

oh.. I meant to add that I'm sure several administrations in the past have taken advantage and made deals with these tv evangelists and that's why no one ever cracks down on their tax exemption etc. It's all politics & 'let's make a deal' .
