I don't think so. Trumpy's dismissal of the EU/NATO has unintended consequences. Merkel sees what's happening, and Europe may, indeed, tighten their cohesion in response to being abandoned by Trumpy. Another poster suggested that the UK may rescind it's "Brexit" vote BECAUSE of Trumpy's dismissal of Europe and his alliance with Putin and Russia. I think that's right.
