This is really getting scary. Powers is trying to warn us. Repugs over and over for 8 years complains of Obama leading from behind.

None of us can believe it. He's torching NATO, abandoning Europe, sucking up to Saudi Arabia & Russia. All happening right out in the open.

want to instill an authoritarian form of government with absolute rule by a theocracy. And in the process, they will rape the US for all of the power and money they can. I still think many citizens do not get what is going on. This has happened throughout history. Anyone is extremely naive to think something radical can not happen in the US with the GOP at the helm. Give this some more time, and the US is going to be in a complete crisis mode, especially if major world events occur. There is no way the Trump administration is capable of handling a major crisis.

A theocratic dictatorship run by rich old white men.

Everyone else will be virtual slaves. And they will burn dissenters at the stake as witches no doubt. MAGA baby!

Fascinating that she positions it as China seeing it that way. It really is true that the US would be seen as not only not leading, but as a laggard.

Once 45 finishes alienating and isolating the country and the rest of the world, he'll still demand that the US leads it. Sorry, you can't abandon your responsibilities and obligations and still expect people to wait for your leadership.

It's actually a scenario I'm afraid of. I can't see the current leadership stand by and accept America as a second-rate (or less) power, and they'll use any means necessary to tear everyone else down. Even if it means open warfare.
