Montanas incoming congressman Greg Gianforte is still facing charges for bodyslamming a reporter who asked him about health care. But that didnt dissuade him from sending out a fundraising appeal for the Republican candidate in an upcoming Georgia congressional election.
Gianforte, through the National Republican Congressional Committee, sent out an email promoting Karen Handels campaign and soliciting campaign donations. Gianforte hailed his successful race by noting, It was Montanans victory. It was President Trumps victory. And most importantly, it was your victory.
He added that with your support of Handel in the race, we can defeat Pelosi and the liberals in Georgia and the remaining special elections.

(5,808 posts)showing pictures of Nancy Pelosi photoshopped with Jon Ossoff. Do they Pelosi is hated enough for voters to switch to Handel? I don't get it. It's always about "one of us". But Georgia 6 is very diverse. I should know, I live here. The "one of us" crowd has moved to Cherokee and Forsyth counties.

(6,670 posts)When Nathan Deal was first running for Governor, Tom Price supported Handel in the primary and made a bunch of disparaging remarks about Deal. When Deal won, he got the district remapped to include parts of Dekalb County a Democratic stronghold thus weakening the Republican base.
Also remember that the district now has one of the highest concentrations of college graduates in GA.
Trump only won the district by 1.5%
