Hello My name is Sophya Marlene,
Yesterday my dearest friend Christi Foxx Paris, an Austin transgender woman, activist and drag queen was raped and beaten almost to death with a hammer to the back of her head. Even after trying to escape twice he beat through doors and continued his attack. She had to have 12 staples to the back of her head, a concussion, as well as sexual and emotional trauma.
She thought this man to be her “friend” but when she said NO he didn't listen. Let's be clear NO MEANS NO even if you are a transgender woman.
Anyone who knows Christi knows she is not only beautiful inside and out, but she is one of the most thoughtful, generous and kind women I know. We are asking for help in covering her medical expenses for her injuries as well as money to help cover living expenses while she recovers. Christi is one of Austins's most beloved and talented Drag Queens and she is unable to work for the next few weeks.
Every amount helps, let's show the love and support Christi has shown countless others.
Also, please continue to follow Christi's story, at this time the assailant is only being charged with assault and battery but we are going to work tirelessly until we get this charged as attempted murder/assault with a deadly weapon. Christi is working with a lawyer and advocates to see this man is brought to justice. She is fierce and a strong brave warrior, but all us warriors need love and support to keep fighting until we win this battle for true equality and justice for all.
