Conservative groups target Rachel Maddow

Turning the tables on Media Matters, which has rallied advertisers against several top conservative talk show hosts, two conservative groups are launching new initiatives aiming to adopt the left’s tactics against liberals like Rachel Maddow.

Media Research Center, the long-running conservative media watchdog, and a new group called Media Equalizer say for too long the left has successfully pressured advertisers to stop advertising on shows featuring hosts like Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck, who were eventually forced off Fox News, and Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, who have so far fought off their critics.

"Fighting fire with fire is just to point out this can go both ways,” said Brian Maloney, a former conservative radio host heading up the Media Equalizer movement. “We’re trying to show [that] if you’re going to play this game, live or die by this sword. I don’t think the left is used to the right firing back on this.”

The only thing is shows like Rachel Maddow present the truth while Oreilly, Hannity and Beck are liars. It will be interesting to see how this plays out considering chump is going down in this Russia scandal.

O'Reilly was a massive sex offender and Glenn Beck was a complete nut job.

Is MSNBC going to bow down to the conservatives again and get rid of Rachel. Yeah, yeah I know she is the top rated news cast but O'Donnell was second and I do not think second by very far.

and of course Comcast is on the extreme corporate right.
Even though Rachel draws good numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if she were squeezed out.

They let Donohue go when he was at the top, as they did with Olbermann. True it was different management, but MSNBC really seems to want to be a Fox lite.

Outside of the few liberals, MSNBC leans right and with the addition of Van Sustern headed more that way.

I just don't think they care that much about ratings.
Hopefully they will re-up O'Donnell and prove me wrong.

My days would be lonely without them but particularly Rachel. For me if they boot her it will be like a death in the family. Can you tell that I have no life.
