Nigel Farage 'named as person of interest' in FBI investigation into links between Russia and Trump

Nigel Farage is reportedly being treated as a "person of interest" in the FBI's investigation into alleged links between Donald Trump's campaign team and Russia.

The former Ukip politician has been drawn into the probe because of his relationships with Mr Trump's aides and Julian Assange, the Guardian reports.

“One of the things the intelligence investigators have been looking at is points of contact and persons involved,” a source told the newspaper.

“He’s right in the middle of these relationships

. He turns up over and over again. There’s a lot of attention being paid to him.”

Being a “person of interest” in the ongoing probe does not infer wrongdoing, and is used to describe people who have information that can assist an investigation.

The FBI declined to comment when contacted by The Independent.

More interesting every day.

It's putting spy novelists out of business, no fiction could compare to this.

The crazy part is we all watched this unfold in real time throughout the campaign. My spidey senses were on full alert at the thought of having a Russian "First Lady." It was like a slow rolling Siberian snowball from that point. The links are so obvious that I can't believe this scenario. Truly stranger than any fiction spy novelist could imagine.

Trump has to a group of people that circle around Putin seems quite remarkable if it's all just innocent (I'm talking about the two wives -- Marla didn't have a chance since she wasn't put there by some Russian/Eastern bloc handler. In fact Marla probably alarmed the contingent that wanted to play Trump for whatever they could get out of him).

Also I don't mean that the Russian investigation is fiction -- there is definitely something there -- the sheer number of contacts and the obvious ass-kissing of the Russians in the fucking Oval office, which was unbelievably grotesque and humiliating to our country (could you imagine if Obama had brought in officials from another country into the Oval Office and laughed and laughed with them while our press was excluded??!)

You laid it out nicely. Ivanka/Melania probably just an innocent coincidence. The rest of the links just make them seem more suspicious.
