this would have helped me grieve. It was devastating for me.
I see nothing restrictive or horrible about it, but merely a way
to achieve closure for some.

Do you think that it declares personhood for the fetus?
It's not mandatory. There are those who consider a fertilized egg a 'child'.
This won't make them think differently.

I'd like to see the legislation and a prototype of the certificate before I
pass judgement on it.

Why do only nine-week old fetuses get certificates/ Shouldn't you be able to get a certificate every month just in case you have a fertilized egg that never attached?

don't believe for a second that there is not some very ulterior motive for it. He's not known for his dedication to grieving parents' feelings.

If the parents want it, why not?

Go police someone else's grief somewhere else.
