When people are conditioned to believe disinformation and falsehoods, they won't automatically act to save themselves or others.

People can and will endure oppression. They do adapt. They might moan and groan (privately) - but they adapt and they accept even the most egregious abuses.

As long as he toes the GOP line, he's all good. PLEASE DON'T RETIRE JUSTICE KENNEDY!!! And please don't die RBG! One more SCOTUS seat for these theocratic whackos to fill and we are truly screwed.

Casting the rest of the world as a dangerous place, fomenting the dangerous illusion that Americans are dealing with an entire planet of "welfare cases."

#45 & Co. want to CONTROL...everything. How the teabaggers fell for this load of shit is difficult to figure, what with their freedom-loving-patriot-this-and-that. Americans used to be, by and large, reasonably savvy and tough to bullshit. But now? Too many are in the tank for #45.

Personally, I'd go that route. Many Americans might not give a flying fuck about Bangladesh and rising sea levels, but if we make it personal, explain how inaction will hurt them, or action will benefit them, we might get through.

"So, the world is not waiting for Donald Trump. He has given a body blow to the cause of environmental sustainability, but we will take it and we will respond. We're on the field of battle, and we're going to overcome. That, I can promise you." ~ Gov. Jerry Brown
