Macron says fuck off to 45

Macron tells Trump the Paris accord is not renegotiable

President Emmanuel Macron told U.S. President Donald Trump that the Paris climate deal could not be renegotiated and that while France would continue to work with Washington, it would no longer discuss climate issues with the United States, a French source said.

"The president spoke with President Trump in a five-minute phone call. The exchange was direct," a source close to Macron said.

"The president said that they could continue to talk, but indicated that nothing was renegotiable with regard to the Paris accords. The United States and France will continue to work together, but not on the subject of climate," the source added.

Trump should not make you ashamed to be American, but only ashamed of the voters, the politicians purging voter rolls, and the disgusting Republicans in Congress who knew he was in bed with Russia and proceeded to support him anyway. I am thoroughly ashamed of all of them and determined that never again will we elect a disgusting, bloviating, ignorant piece of crap like Trump.

Our once-great nation descends into becoming no better than a Banana Republic with a tin-horn dictator at the helm. The "election" is over... this is the new reality. The fact that he's there at all makes me ashamed of my country and ashamed to be an American.

I hope that individual states can be part of the world's efforts on climate change. That seems like the next best thing since the Federal government is being run by a bunch of self-serving republicans who are being led by an absolute idiot. So sad but not surprising since they've been following a path of baseless pride for decades. They wanted to push state's rights... well, they may be getting more than they've bargained for. It seems the only strategy to combat the stupid culture coming out of the White House these days. And states can make alliances with other like-minded states. Fox-led repugs may be getting their way but I have a feeling it isn't going to go the way they thought. Heck, we learned in the last election we really are the majority. Now if we only had a real democracy. And that can be had starting at the local level. What else can we do?

I don't see how Trump exits before 2020 but I don't see how he survives that election either, unless he starts a war. That would be bad. Most of the other idiocy is more or less reversible. Supreme Court isn't so we need some luck there.

I am sure that is not exactly correct, but my sentiment is well meaning.

And I am proud that I will be spending 3 weeks in France this Fall. Wish I could make it 3 years!
