POLL: Do you think we're going to have to deal with 4 years of Trump?

Really, what is going to be left of this country. Something is going on, it's all getting far too weird.

Do you think Trump will still be President 4 years from now?

I'd prefer four years of him embarrassing the GOP, and four years of the GOP self-destructing by defending and covering up for 45.

However, I think you'll easily get to 67 by counting the Republican Senators who want to get rid of him because they think Pence would be less embarrassing, more of a puppet to the GOP legislative agenda, and more polished at being a politician.

It happens, even when people think it isn't.

The Patriot Act is still around and it is still bad - but it is more or less accepted as normal now.

Private prisons, confiscation of property, even from the innocent...still happening.

Voter suppression being made "legal" by the states through gerrymandering and ID laws. Sure, people fight back but it hasn't stopped them from trying.

Make it legal, and those not affected tend to accept it.

The same can happen with what is going on under Trump/GOP now.

The more bad people accept, the easier to do worse.

Incumbents are almost never defeated when their party has been in power only one term. Jimmy Carter is the only exception in more than a century.

Trump inherited an economy on the verge of upswing. Unfortunately, he'll receive undeserved credit. Today the stock market reached new highs.

The scandalous stuff is no doubt legit, and worse than we believe, but those remedies are extremely low percentage. I default to big picture logic. We're stuck.

I've given up predicting. I failed to predict Trump. However if the "Republican leaders" will not act to impeach a president who is pretty clearly in cahoots with a at least partly hostile foreign government, then it is quite possible we will see eight years of this idiot and possibly many more years of republican-fascist rule.

The question is what do we do about that?

What can we do about that?

He is a spoiled, obese, 70 year old man who many who know say has Alzheimers or dementia. He is not having fun. I give him until the end of the summer before he either resigns blaming "crying Schumer" and fake media for blocking all his great plans, or he strokes the hell out.

His team is lawyering up for a long, pitched battle. I sincerely hope I'm wrong. But with #45, "normal" procedures don't apply. A majority of Republicans in Congress will have to openly turn on him, and I can't foresee that happening, unless he turned out to be a pedophile or something equally shocking.

In the meantime, the RW media-machine is cranking overtime to keep polishing the absolute turd that is #45 and his cohorts. There is a small chance that he will crack under the prolonged strain, making his removal medically necessary.

Even if he's removed from office, the very emotionally disturbed SNOWFLAKE won't shut up, he'll be whining to the media 24/7.
