As a child I was exposed to radiation
the result was 3 types of cancer in the thyroid
And you expect me to be loyal to a country that would do that to one of its citizens?
I know deny that ever happened maybe that will make you feel better-honestly? are you kidding?
Being honest would mean you have to stop denying reality-I don't think this country has that courage
To add insult to injury the government didn't let me know I was exposed to radiation until I was 60 years old
Maybe hoping I would be dead by then and no one would know, especially me
Oh who gives a damn as long as it didn't happen to you

(2,599 posts)and I am real, the experience was real (the government phoned me with the information 60 years later after being exposed to radiation). If they are willing to do that to one real human being what makes you think they would not do that to others?
Scares the hell out of you doesn't it? So the only way to cope is to deny anything like that could happen. It might happen to you in the same way....maybe it is time to start thinking for yourself instead of your government doing it for you

I clicked on the link. The ten experiments done on its own citizens list had real, provable experiments. There were only two, from my own knowledge, that I was unfamiliar with.
It can't be a CT or looney story if it's true
Edit: This was supposed to be a response to Archae, not the OP

(34,092 posts)My brother (and possibly sister) were given an experimental vaccine in the early 60s as Native American/hispanic wards of the state, prior to being adopted into our family.
(Although when I search for the experiment, what I find suggests the date is wrong in the article at the link.)
