dress like they were going out for an evening at a night club. The men wear normal business attire but the women appear wearing sleeveless tops that show plenty of cleavage. Here, for example, is Megyn Kelly interviewing important men in suits while she is wearing an off-the-shoulder, low-cut dress with a slit up the front halfway to whatever, along with a pair of fuck-me pumps. Why don't female TV personalities wear the same sort of clothes a female lawyer or business person would wear?

That was a rhetorical question. I know the answer.

couldn't believe that she wore it for an interview with a Head of State. Even if it was Putin, it was certainly not professional. My guess is that it's to throw him off his game plan, but it just ends up making her look cheap. She did the same thing when she interviewed Trump during the campaign. She wore a similar type outfit. I hate when woman use their sexuality to advance their career and then complain about sexual harassment in the workplace. She was one of the women who said Rodger Ailes harassed her. Not to defend Ailes at all because he was the one who started all that with the Fox Network making the women on all Fox News local Channels across the nation wear those short dresses and sexy tops.

If I were the wife of a head of state (even in Russia) and she showed up in that outfit to conduct an interview, I'd send her home interview-less. I'd tell her since she doesn't know how to dress appropriately, she forfeited her opportunity, and she doesn't get a do-over.

It doesn't mitigate it.

Keep the question of the appropriateness of the dress separate from a civil or criminal offense. She could walk into the office wearing a g-string and pasties and it wouldn't make it okay for somebody to sexually harass her, nor would it mean she doesn't have the legal right to file a complaint.

but if someone came into a workplace dressed as a slut, I would have no problem telling them that their choice of attire is inappropriate for the workplace. If that hurts their feelings, than so be it. If that person was heckled or received unwelcome comments, (note I didn't say attacked) than she received what she wanted, attention. To later claim that that attention was unwelcome, is bullshit. Not only was it welcomed, it was sought after when she made the decision to wear a provocative outfit (in your case a G-string and pasties) to the office, unless of course her workplace is a strip club.

The character was a brilliant diagnostician but with poor bed manners. And he would come out in front and comment that if a woman - always women, really - comes to work flaunting her body he would have to wonder why, what message was she trying to send.

I know, there have been many professional women who would dress what we would call provocatively and challenge the rest of us that just because she does so does not mean that she is not a serious professional. But would any woman, or man, like to distract from the topic of the meeting or the conversation? Do they think that this gives them an advantage, like taking someone to dinner and keep pouring the liquor?

While they don't all dress like they were on their way to a party, you'll see a lot of women wearing outfits that would not be very appropriate for other professional women while on the job. I get cold just looking at them. I know that TV lights can be hot, still, the men, as mentioned above, do wear suits and ties and I don't see them sweating.

Also, the table where they sit - for the morning show - does not have a front so their legs and thighs are the focus.

I remember when Katie Couric once switched shows with Jay Leno. First thing she did was to saw the front of Leno's desk so that she could showcase her legs. Thus, when she came to CBS Evening News I knew that this person is not a serious news woman. Not that the news program of any network, except for PBS, is serious.
