Jerry Brown is visiting China to work on climate change.

We are the Sixth largest economy in the world.

We are first to have a non white majority.

We are Democratic ruled and showing the country the way

...and a chunk of flyover country likes to use us as a political punching bag. We've given the nation two presidents so far -- both, alas, Republican. I'd love to break that streak, for sure.

when he was interviewed by Ari Melber last night on the Rachael Maddow show. Either way, it is a very large economy.

I'm not surprised at all that she hit the ground running in Boxer's old seat.

Now, if only we could maybe consider a long-overdue upgrade to CA's other senator...

I like that Eric Swalwell reps Dublin, CA but when he's on MSNBC they use Oakland CA backgrounds.

Kamala Harris is a Oaktown homegirl so yeah I'm hella liking both of them.

It's an "Oaklandish thang."
