You did not indicate your line of work, so maybe you can't. Keeping a straight face is often a challenge at a pediatric office, too. In late April, i had one for the books in my 40+ year career as a pediatric nurse practitioner.
I was talking to an 11 yr old boy and his mom, as part of his check up for 6th grade this fall. The mom indicated that he had something he wanted to ask about. She thought is was about his weight. Boy, was she wrong!
The kid had just had the 5th grade class on puberty earlier this afternoon. The information was completely new to him as there had never been any discussion at home about this topic. "He never asked anything," was mom's explanation.
When I asked him what he was wondering about, he said that now that he knew about this, "All I can think about is that I want to fuck someone."
I'm sure I must have had some sort of micro expression flit across my face - 
We often go into situations that can be shocking. The hardest thing is to go into an environment that is offensive to the senses (smells and sights) and have a conversation with people in that environment. It is difficult to discuss things with perpetrators and not show a sense of judgement as well.
We all have those reactions. What I have found useful is to consider a very shocking situation in my head before asking a question or heading into an environment so that if it isn't that bad in reality, I am "underwhelmed". It works about 60% of the time. 
that dump is in the WH and running amok, they have to listen to his stooges and package the BS into some form suitable to be transmitted to the American people.
