So in effect we will never hear anything.
Only those in "closed" hearing will be able to know the truth. And we will only know what they want us to know. No evidence , no charges, no impeachment no nothing. Fuck it !

have little time for patience. Mid terms comming fast, AHCA depending on who you believe is in danger of repeal etc.

7. Same in 1973-74. Vietnam war was going on,
many other controversies. Nixon wasn't as bad a president as Trump, but damn close. There's no way to make this go faster without completely disregarding the law and the Constitution.

10. American involvement in Vietnam ended in January, 1973.
The war continued for another 2 1/2 years but without the US military.

11. Not exactly. There were remaining military personnel in Vietnam through 1975
up to and even after the fall of Saigon. More importantly, the US was still funding the South Vietnam military during 1973-74, and this was extremely controversial. In 1973 Nixon threatened to re-intervene militarily if the communist side violated the ceasefire. During his confirmation hearings in June 1973, Secretary of Defense Schlesinger stated that he would recommend resumption of U.S. bombing in North Vietnam if North Vietnam launched a major offensive against South Vietnam, although Congress acted to prevent this from occurring. After Nixon resigned and Ford took over, Congress drastically cut financial aid to South Vietnam but didn't cut it off altogether until 1976. The intense controversy over Vietnam was still festering throughout 1974 and Watergate. I remember the whole mess quite well.

8. An independent investigation commission would take care of all of these problems!
It would be NON partisan, fully staffed and limitless resources, it would reveal its reports to the public, can't be derailed by GOP ant the Donald, would be thorough and complete, and would take a relatively short time. Problem is that the bill which is already in the House (by the dems) won't get approved and signed for obvious reasons! This is what the March For Truth was all about last weekend. We must demand it from congress through emails, town halls and phone calls (202) 225-3121.

9. Easy there, tiger.
It's a long game. It will take time. And the longer it drags on, the more it hurts both the Trump brand and the Republican brand. If Trump resigned tomorrow, Republicans could easily sweep it all under the rug and pretend we're back to normal with Pence.

13. *45 is the oozing sore on the surface... making life miserable and it is understandable that we want
The sore to be magically gone as soon as we exit the doctor's office...
Comey's written statement clearly identifies more than one attempt by *45 to influence the Flynn investigation as well as one or more attempts to influence the broader Russia related investigation. Attempting to influence an investigation is legally considered a form of obstruction under US Code Title 18 part I chapter 73 - 1505 And is punishable by law. Obstruction is an impeachable offense... Precedent established in the case of Clinton. So, this testimony logically leads to impeachment Which is the equivalent of antibiotics for the sore. Antibiotics do not work immediately... And you must take the prescribed dosage in its entirety... just to get rid of the oozing sore... Antibiotics will Not cure the underlying cause of the sore. In the meantime, bloodwork results will come in and additional tests will be run and at some point after the sore heals, the overall diagnosis will be made...(investigation continues) And steps will then be taken as deemed necessary to cure the underlying disease. (charges filed/prosecutions/etc) The disease (KGOP bought w/putin's rubles) was present long before it caused the oozing sore appear (*45)... and it will require a longer & stronger intervention to completely eradicate the disease than that which will be required to get rid of the oozing sore. |
