3. Like much of what Moore does, it's primarily self-promotion

Not saying he's not sincere, but he also has a vested financial interest in calling attention to himself with these kinds of antics.

Besides, the NYT and Washington Post are handling the leaks pretty well. It's not as if potential leakers have no outlets to go to.
