Trump reportedly told British Prime Minister Theresa May that he does not want to visit later this year unless he has the support of the British public.

According to the Guardian, the president made his intention to stay away in a phone call with May, saying he does not want make the trip if in light of plans for mass protests against him

The report states that May was surprised by Trump’s remarks.

Trump is already in the doghouse with the British public after his comments following a recent terror attack on London.
